GQ History- GQ (formerly Gentlemen's Quarterly) is an international monthly men's magazine based in New York City and founded in 1931. The magazine focuses on fashion, style, and culture for men, though articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books are also featured in the magazine.

Men's vogue
Men's Vogue was a monthly men's magazine that covered fashion, design, art, culture, sports and technology. On October 30, 2008 Condé Nast announced that they intended to fold the magazine into Vogue proper as a bi-annual subscriber's supplement.

The content for this magazine included featured celebrities, athletes, powerbrokers, and lesser known men of style. Areas covered included art and architecture, travel and food, politics and finance, books and sports, custom tailoring and fine watches, and many other topics.

I have learned that this genre of magazine is suited towards younger men on an above average income. This means that the clothes i will use in my magazine will be smart and dapper.

Conventions of covers:
The main convention for a magazine cover are: a masthead, coverlines, large main image, variety of font sizes and a barcode. This cover utilises all these conventions giving the cover a professional and conventional look
